Urwa Palace

قصر عروة

An archaeological site associated with Urwa ibn al-Zubayr and the early Islamic development of the Madinah region.

Why this place matters

The site known as Qasr Urwa represents a later early-Islamic layer of Madinah’s history. Its remains offer a different perspective from the mosque-centered heritage of the city.
